Types of Discounts

MySurgeryQuote supports discounts at multiple levels:

  1. Procedure Discounts – Reduce price on individual procedures
  2. Implant Discounts – Apply manufacturer rebates or promotions
  3. Fee Discounts – Discount specific additional fees
  4. Overall Adjustments – Apply a discount to the entire quote

Applying a Procedure Discount

  1. Add the procedure to your quote
  2. Click on the procedure in your selected items
  3. Enter the discount amount or percentage
  4. The original price shows with strikethrough, discount amount in green

Applying Implant Discounts

Common scenarios:

  • Manufacturer rebates
  • Multi-implant discounts
  • Promotional pricing

To apply:

  1. Add the implant to your quote
  2. Enter the discount amount
  3. Both the quote detail and PDF will show the original price, discount, and final price

How Discounts Display

On Screen:

  • Original price shown with strikethrough
  • Discount amount shown in green
  • Final price displayed prominently

On PDF:

  • DISCOUNT column shows the reduction
  • Clear breakdown for patient transparency

Best Practices

  • Document the reason for discounts in quote notes
  • Be consistent with discount policies
  • Review discounted quotes before sending

Discount Reasons

When applying a discount, you can select a pre-built reason to categorize why the discount is being given. This helps with reporting and maintaining consistent discount policies.

Available discount reasons include:

  • Courtesy-Revision. Use this when offering a discount for a revision surgery case
  • Implant Warranty. Use this when the discount is covered by an implant manufacturer warranty. When selected, a dropdown will appear allowing you to choose the specific implant manufacturer
  • Custom Reason. Enter your own text to describe the reason for the discount

Discount reasons are tracked with the quote and can be reviewed in reports.
